Jad Montenegro is musician and all-around bag lady. She is the current host of Muzika del Sur News and previous host of rock show Durian Shake. She just released her EP called Fixed Points and Pendulums for her self-titled band, with bandmates Dave Ibao on drums and Pjoe Sabanpan on bass. She was awarded Best Pop Artist of The Year by Muzika Del Sur for 2009, and won Best Music Video for 2010. She is the vocalist of Polar Depth, an electronica/experimental band. Polar Depth was also given a special citation for Breakout Electronica Artist in 2009. To support her bad habits, like playing gigs for free and producing an indie album, she works from home as a writer. She is married to professional comic illustrator John Amor, a.k.a The Boy.

Gig outfit from last night.Couple of blurry shots in our garage:I like my Canon IXUS 130, but it gets wonky under fluorescent light.  I’m wearing fiber optic shoelaces that glow different colors from an LED source. I turned it on during my set, see.Currently making a shark hat. I still have to add the nommy teeth and the black eyes, and eyebrows. Because my friend Tessa (who ordered it) is a lady after me own brilliant sensibilities, she prefers for it to look as terrifying as possible.The Boy has been casting longing looks at it all evening. My life is awesome.

Combined outfit and nail of the day post - Loose grey tunic, Next | White crosshatch Harem Pants, Bellisima Shop  Skull water decals on gold nails. Transparent decals, Onestop Kikayshop | Nail Polish, Live On Stage, L.A. Girls Rockstar Lacquer. This seller is my go-to lady for everything involving nails. She’s lovely. Very accommodating and loves to give free gifts to loyal customers! I didn’t take too many photos of my outfit, because when I woke up I threw some clothes on, took a couple snapshots and rushed out the door to get to church early because I led worship. Praise and Worship is easily my favorite part of the church service. I am more easily able to connect to God through music. It’s one of the most beautiful ways to know Him. After dinner my husband took a shot of me at the parking lot. Today was humid, ridiculously so. I will be glad for some rain! White crosshatched harem pants from Bellisima Shop.
