Jad Montenegro is musician and all-around bag lady. She is the current host of Muzika del Sur News and previous host of rock show Durian Shake. She just released her EP called Fixed Points and Pendulums for her self-titled band, with bandmates Dave Ibao on drums and Pjoe Sabanpan on bass. She was awarded Best Pop Artist of The Year by Muzika Del Sur for 2009, and won Best Music Video for 2010. She is the vocalist of Polar Depth, an electronica/experimental band. Polar Depth was also given a special citation for Breakout Electronica Artist in 2009. To support her bad habits, like playing gigs for free and producing an indie album, she works from home as a writer. She is married to professional comic illustrator John Amor, a.k.a The Boy.
People find their convos funny.

She is not a professional blogger, but this is the space she compiles current obsessions in, like

DIY/crafts
clothes
nail polish
music
dyeing her hair
crocheting stuff for her facebook shop Hats and Things
and the occasional lulz-worthy photo.

Zebrunday

This is what I wore to church and Sunday dinner with my family. I am really liking this sheer zebra-print chiffon blouse - it’s very light and breezy.

I paired it with really long white tassel earrings.

Oh and because we’re dorks, The Boy and I took photos of our hands against a hot wall earlier today—apparently if the sun is shining very brightly overhead and you put your fingers against a wall, this happens:

That’s my husband’s hand. Because our flesh isn’t opaque, light glows through it and a camera can really capture it. I didn’t edit these photos, it really looked like that. Lol.

Also, if you turn the photo 90 degrees, it looks like:

Superpower glowy hands!

Okay, I’ll stop being a nerd now.
